Mister Lucky

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
— Matthew 19:24

Is money a guarantee of happiness?

The man in the photo is Jack Whittaker of West Virginia, who two years ago hit the biggest lottery jackpot ever: $314.9 million.

Jack Whittaker

Does he look happy?

In the photo, he is walking toward the Putnam County Judicial Annex to enter a no contest plea on a misdemeanor assault charge for attacking a bar manager.

Since winning the lottery, he has also been arrested twice for drunken driving and been ordered into rehab, and is accused in two lawsuits of making trouble at a nightclub and a racetrack.

There have been several thefts involving his vehicle, his office and his house, one of which occurred on the same day an 18-year-old friend of his granddaughter was found dead there.

Today, the granddaughter was also found dead.

Merry Christmas, Jack!

“I wish all of this never would have happened,” his wife says. “I wish I would have torn the ticket up.”

I truly feel sorry for Jack… I have been following his story for quite some time now and have learnt a few things about money from him and how monye is the root of all evil. I also am mad at all the people who are insulting him just because they are so jelouse of him. Yes, I do belive alot of things he did were wrong very wrong and inmoral, however, I feel he has been punished. he lost the one thing in his life that ment more to him then anything in the whole world..HIS GRANDAUGHTER. If that isnt enough punishment I dont know what is. No matter what happends in the court room, or how many insults may be throwen at him he lost his grandaughter, his wife, his money, and many many friends. If you look at his picture when he won the money and you look at his picture now you can see how he has been punished. why as a nation do we, all of us, kick some one when they are already as low as they can go. dont you think its about time that we leave Jack alone?

Jack, I want to give you something.
I know you almost have everything, but without what I have you will never be happy.
First, ask Jesus Christ to forgive all your sins, second, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you through life.
Love yourself, and love your enemies.

There is a prosperity and a peace that you can possess even with all your worldly riches. I pray that for you today, Jack. I pray that the Son of Man come into your heart and surrounds you with the abundance that you have always possessed. Open your eyes and receive.

    Dear Jack
Your life has cought my eye, I also feel the pain. If you ever want to forget about the world of money and go catfishing and sit around a campfire let me know. Somethings in life dont cost anything.
    Daniel
