Haywire, you were ahead of the curve on this one. I'm seeing lots of online discussion on this topic today.

Prince always creeped me out before... kind of in a Dr. Frankenfurter from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" kind of way. Like... if I ever shared a cab with him, he'd try to hit on me or something... I don't know what it was... but as a younger boy... it scared me.

But... having said that.
He had some pretty good music going on there. And I have to say... in the rain, it looked pretty cool.

What surprises me though... is that the phallus isn't making bigger headlines. It was pretty clear among my guests that it was intentional. (can be seen here: http://americablog.blogspot.com/2007/02/so-did-anybody-catch-princes-musical.html)

I didn't watch the halftime show but no one in my office is talking about it today -- good or bad -- so draw your own conclusions.

Twenty years ago, Prince was pretty edgy. If you'd gone on CBS and just recited a list of Prince song titles, Walter Cronkite's head would have exploded. Today, I can't imagine what the relevance of a Prince show would be, which is why I clicked it off.
