Declinations

I’m going to start declining invitations to meetings that have

  1. vague goals;
  2. a long list of invitees who don’t know how to come to the point;
  3. a moderator who doesn’t know when to cut people off.

Thus spoke The Programmer.

    This USED to be on my door, but had to be moved inside the office walls after what is now known as the “Scotch Tape Incident”. It’s now hanging on the bookshelf, all ghetto-like, and it reminds me to not suck when I schedule meetings. Not to say that I don’t often fail at this goal, but at least I have a constant reminder staring me in the face 20 times per day.

    In a brief moment of perfect clarity I considered putting a copy of that commentary in everyone’s in box, but then I remembered how much I hated Tom Cruise and everything about the movie Jerry Maguire, save the Springsteen song, and reconsidered. I would hate for some male version of Renee Zellweger to begin worshiping me as a result of my blinding brilliance.

    renee zellweger was hot in that movie.

    commentary would have been ignored anyway.

    AGAIN with the Margaret Cho. For cryin’ out loud, just give in to your suppressed feelings for her already. I’d think you would be happy that she sucks…most men love that sort of thing.

    @MS:

    We just pretend to love it because women love to do it so much.

    Last weekend, a woman saw me for the first time and said, “Oh my God, it’s beautiful! I think I’m going to cry…”

    I get that a lot.

    I guess everyone already knows this but one of the good things about being a dog is you can orally stimulate yourself if you want to.

    Who needs bitches?!

    You people are wildly inappropriate. I hope my son’s not reading this.

    Lightning, you’re a bad dog.

    @Skip Intro

    I think part of your message was corrupted during the posting process. I think you meant to say: “We just pretend to get it because we wish women would do it more often.

    Last weekend, a woman saw me for the first time and said, “Oh my God, I think I’m going to cry…”

    I get that a lot.”
