The Age of Cynicism

I bought a bagel this morning from the company cafeteria, as I often do.

“$1.08,” the woman at the register said.

I noticed she had a new haircut. Not to hit on her or anything, but I thought it looked good and said so.

“It’s still $1.08,” she said.

There’s entirely too much cynicism in the world . . .
