Iceland is Not a Good Place to Live

27 Nov 2007 /

Iceland has overtaken Norway as the world’s most desirable country to live in, according to an annual U.N. table published on Tuesday that again puts AIDS-afflicted sub-Saharan African states at the bottom.

Iceland?! You can tell by the name that it’s not a good place to live: Ice Land. Land of Ice.

You’re stranded in the middle of the ocean. It’s like living on Gilligan’s Island, but without the pleasant climate.

As for Norway, my brother has the command of an Air Force base in Norway. He says when the sun is shining, it’s the most beautiful place in the world.

The other 335 days of the year, not so great . . .

Oh man, you are wrong. I have actuallhy vacationed in iceland…it is absolutely breathtaking. The locals say it was named Iceland on purpose to keep people out. Actuallyh Greenland and iceland should switch names. back in the early 80s they had a national law about icelandic women marrying americans or others…because it would spoil the heritage. I used to think that Norway and Sweden had the most beautiful blonde women…they are hags compared to Icelandic women.
Jack Nicalaus built a golf course there where he would go to practice.
Other than that you are right, most of the time.
