Feeling the Burn
22 Jun 2009 / PEIt’s a warm early summer day here in Southern California. As I come back to the office from lunch, a colleague is setting up one of those windshield screens to keep the sun from shining into her car all afternoon.
Toughen up, sweetie. I like my steering wheel to be blazing hot when I return to my vehicle. The pain reminds me I’m alive.

Uh, those shades are not just to keep the steering wheel cooler. Not having one in SoCal practically guarantees a crack in the dashboard if you keep your car longer than about 6 years.
I can assign someone to kick you every Tuesday if you really enjoy pain because it makes you feel alive. Your new motto can be “I live for Tuesdays!”
