My son’s hockey game got completely out of hand. I’ve never seen a game like that . . . they led 11-9 before losing 12-11. My boy had eight goals. Neither team could stop anything.
Afterwards, his mom said, “I’m really proud of you. You’ll get ’em next time.”
The coaches weren’t as empathetic. They were unhappy, much more unhappy than I like to see people get over kids playing a game.
The other team’s goalie had a great reaction — he came up to my son later and said, “Good game. I thought I was gonna puke out there.”
