My Dog Sends a Bark Out to the Puppy Heroes

Lightning sleepy

A 3-year-old Virginia boy was rescued Saturday after spending the night in the woods with only his puppies to keep him warm. . . .

Around 300 people helped search for the missing child, and a command center was set up at the local Baptist church.

“God really protected the boy,” Grace Baptist Church Pastor Dave Kline said. “We are happy that we were able to help.”

God is “dog” spelled backwards! I say God could have saved everyone a lot of time by not letting the boy get lost in the first place.

Good thing he had his puppies to keep him warm!

Don’t try this with kittens!

P.S. That is a photo of me keeping my owner warm when I was a puppy.

Don’t be such a kitteh hater. We too would be happy to snuggle up to a toddler to keep us all warm and cozy. We purr too and rarely slobber. And we wouldn’t think of sleeping on his face or smothering him. Damn those old wives and their tales of lies.

When thinking of heroic canines, please don’t forget this compassionate dog and his amazing effort.

    Hey Marshmallow –

Who’s holding you in your avatar photo? My view of her robust treasures is blocked by your big furry head.

O-kay, way to pick up the theme and run with it…

I had lunch at Chili’s over the weekend…they’re promoting Chili’s gift cards for Christmas by making the female servers wear t-shirts that say “Never the wrong color. Never the wrong size.”
